What You'll Need:
At least 6 months of pole experience
Comfort with basic spins (Fireman, Hook, Chair), the Basic Climb and the Jasmine
Pole attire, water, a notebook, and a great attitude!

The PFA Level 1 Certification is the first step for anyone looking to become a certified pole instructor. Whether you’re eager to start teaching or want to refine your skills with expert-level knowledge, this course provides the essential foundation for safe and effective instruction.
Prerequisites:
To enroll, you should have at least 6 months of pole experience and be comfortable with:
✔️ Basic spins (Fireman variations, Hook spins, Chair spin)
✔️ Basic climb and Side climb
✔️ Jasmine
This course focuses on how to teach pole, not learning pole from scratch. If you haven’t mastered these moves yet, we recommend becoming a PFA Premium Member. Premium Membership includes a pre-certification course at no additional charge that prepares you for certification.
Why Start with Level 1?
PFA offers three levels of certification, and Level 1 is required before progressing to Levels 2 and 3.
✅ Level 1 fully prepares you to teach beginner pole classes and lays the groundwork for all levels.
✅ Level 2 prepares you to teach intermediate students and is required before progressing to Level 3.
✅ Level 3 prepares you to teach advanced students.
By starting with Level 1, you’ll develop a strong foundation in teaching methodology, safety, and progressions, ensuring you’re set up for success as you advance through the certification levels.
