To enroll in the PFA Level 2 Certification, you must meet the following prerequisites:

✔️ Certification Prerequisite: Successful completion of the PFA Level 1 Certification

✔️ Move Prerequisites: Level 2 introduces inverted and higher-risk moves, so participants must have a solid ability to perform the following:

✅ Basic Inversion

✅ Shoulder Dismount

✅ Figure 4 Layback

✅ Inverted Pike

✅ Butterfly

✔️ Volunteer Prerequisite:

As part of the course, you will practice spotting techniques for Level 2 moves. To complete these assignments, you must have a volunteer who can already competently perform these moves for the 4th session (June 21).

This is a virtual group certification course. You must have access to a static pole and a computer, tablet or smart phone to participate in the virtual meeting.

You will be given assignments each meetup consisting of reading, watching videos and practicing. During the meetups, the materials will be reviewed and your skills will be assessed and perfected. If you are unable to make any of the meetings, recordings will be available and you must make up the missed physical assignments via video submission.

Registration closes a week prior to the first meetup to allow time to complete your initial assignments. Upon registration, you will be given access to the online training materials. You will also receive an email with your initial assignments and meetup instructions within 48 hours of registration.

In this training you will learn how to teach and demonstrate proper posture and grips for spins, floorwork, transitions, basic climbs, and holds. You learn basic spotting techniques appropriate for this level, effective ways to communicate the mind-body connection, and standards for teaching safe basic pole moves. You will also learn numerous stability, strength and mobility exercises, and how to count music and cue movement. Additional topics include the science of pole movement, basic anatomy and anatomical considerations, classroom and teaching tips, how to lead effective warm ups and cool downs, how to create basic choreography, how to handle accidents and emergencies and so much more!
